Front porch and entry slabs poured level and sloped to shed water, with clean edges and finishes that match your home.
The front porch is where a home says hello. A concrete porch slab is also a structural piece that connects to the house, supports posts and steps and has to stay put as the soil moves. When it settles, it pulls away from the wall, tilts toward the door and lets water run toward the house instead of away. Many Nashville homes have porch slabs that have sunk, cracked or been patched so many times that they need to be rebuilt.
We evaluate the existing slab and the soil, then recommend a repair or a rebuild. For a new porch we dig footings where they are needed, compact a stone base and place forms to the correct height and slope. Steel ties the slab together, and anchors can be placed for posts and railings. We finish the surface to match your style, plain, stamped, colored or textured, and tool the edges neatly where the porch meets steps and walks.
A slight pitch away from the door carries rain and snowmelt away from your entry and your foundation.
Flashing details and flexible joints keep water out and allow movement at the wall.
Anchors and sleeves are set during the pour, so columns and railings attach securely.
Colors and textures are chosen to suit your brick, siding and walks.
