Thin resurfacing systems that smooth rough, pitted or scaled concrete and give it a fresh, uniform face.
Over the years, concrete loses its face. Salt, freezing water and heavy wear leave a surface that is rough, pitted or flaking in thin scales. Weeds and moss take hold in the cracks, and the slab looks old even though its strength may be fine. Resurfacing is the practical middle path between ignoring the problem and removing the slab. A Nashville driveway that has scaled badly after a few winters is a typical candidate.
The process starts with a careful look at the slab. We repair cracks and spalls, clean the surface and profile it so the new layer can bond. Then we apply a resurfacing mix, working it to a smooth, broomed or lightly textured finish. The new surface can be tinted to cover stains and make the slab look uniform. We seal the resurfaced concrete and give care tips so scaling does not return, including advice about de-icing products. We also check the slab underneath before we start, because a surface layer can only be as sound as what it sits on. Any loose areas are repaired first, and we tell you plainly if replacement would make more sense.
We look at drainage, salt use and finishing history, so the same damage does not return.
Cracks and pits are filled and the surface is prepared so the new layer holds.
A tinted resurfacer covers stains and gives the slab a uniform look.
A sealer helps shed water and protects against freeze and thaw and salt.

You tell us about your site and what you want, new concrete, a repair or a refresh, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure the area, check drainage, soil and access, look at any old concrete and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for thickness, steel, finishes and colors, sketch the layout and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.
We arrange for underground utilities to be located, protect the house, lawn and landscaping, remove old concrete if needed and compact a stone base.
We set forms and steel, check heights and slopes, place and finish the concrete and cut joints, with the crew on site from the first truck to the last pass.
We protect the concrete as it cures, clean up the site, walk you through when to use it and seal it, and set a reminder for your next check.
Resurfacing usually means a thin repair-grade layer, while overlays can be thicker and decorative. The goal of both is a renewed surface.
It fills small cracks. Moving or deep cracks need separate repair, and may come back.
Freeze and thaw, de-icing salts and poor finishing are common causes.
With good prep and sealing, it can last many years.
Temperature matters. We schedule around the product limits.
