Level, sturdy slabs for outdoor kitchens, grills, fire pits and bar counters, with the right base, edges and utility sleeves.
An outdoor kitchen or fire pit puts a lot of weight and heat on one spot. A built-in grill, a masonry counter and a stone fire ring can weigh thousands of pounds, and every part of them needs a flat, firm base. Gas, water and electric lines have to reach the right place. A slab that settles or tilts will crack the stonework above it and make cabinets, doors and appliances sit crooked. In a Nashville backyard with sloped ground, it pays to build the slab right the first time.
We plan the slab with your layout, the appliance specs and the utility routes in hand. We set sleeves and conduit before the pour, build a thickened and reinforced slab with a compacted base and slope the surface slightly to drain. Edges are formed square so masonry and cabinets can sit flush. For fire pits, we plan a slab with a recessed ring or a base that keeps heat and ash away from edges, and finish the surrounding patio to match.
Thickened edges and steel carry heavy counters, grills and stone without cracking.
Sleeves for gas, water and power go in before the pour, so nothing is cut later.
A flat, square slab lets cabinets, doors and appliances fit properly.
We plan the base and clearances for a fire ring and keep the patio finish durable.

You tell us about your site and what you want, new concrete, a repair or a refresh, and we set a visit that fits your day.
We walk the property, measure the area, check drainage, soil and access, look at any old concrete and take photos of anything of note.
We explain your options for thickness, steel, finishes and colors, sketch the layout and give you a written scope with clear timing and pricing.
We arrange for underground utilities to be located, protect the house, lawn and landscaping, remove old concrete if needed and compact a stone base.
We set forms and steel, check heights and slopes, place and finish the concrete and cut joints, with the crew on site from the first truck to the last pass.
We protect the concrete as it cures, clean up the site, walk you through when to use it and seal it, and set a reminder for your next check.
Many are five or six inches with steel, thicker at the edges. We size it for your weights.
