Careful demolition, haul-off and new pours for slabs that are too damaged to repair, with a better base and details.
Sometimes repair is not the answer. A driveway cracked in every direction, a patio that has dropped in pieces or a walk that heaves every few feet has reached the end of its life. Tearing it out and starting over is a bigger job, but it is a chance to fix whatever made the old slab fail in the first place. A Nashville home with a worn-out slab near the house or a mature tree needs careful demolition and planning.
We begin by marking the area, protecting nearby landscaping, utilities and structures. Breaking is done with equipment sized for the site, from hand tools near the house to hydraulic breakers and skid steers in open areas. Debris is hauled away. We re-grade, compact the base and correct drainage, then form and pour the new slab with proper thickness, steel and joints. The new concrete can match the old or be changed to a new finish or color, and we explain what we learned from the old slab.
We shield lawns, walls, meters and plants and call for utility marking before breaking.
Hand tools near foundations and machines in open areas keep damage to a minimum.
New stone, compaction and grading address the problems that caused the failure.
Old concrete is removed from the site so you are left with a clean working area.

We set forms and steel, check heights and slopes, place and finish the concrete and cut joints, with the crew on site from the first truck to the last pass.
We protect the concrete as it cures, clean up the site, walk you through when to use it and seal it, and set a reminder for your next check.
